THE LOBBY

CLASSIC ARCHITECTURE MEETS CONTEMPORARY ARTISTRY

Upon entering the lobby, you’re immediately greeted by the vibrant intersection of past and present. Historic stonework, grand ceiling heights, and stately window bays evoke the building’s Renaissance Revival origins, beautifully restored and thoughtfully adapted for the modern guest. Every architectural detail, from elegant moldings to terrazzo floors, nods to the site’s heritage while establishing an atmosphere of timeless sophistication.

A WELCOMING CENTERPIECE: THE FALCON MURAL

Anchoring the space behind the front desk is a striking falcon-themed mural by local artist Dave Koenig. This collaborative masterpiece, brought to life in partnership with Partnership 4 Kids, blends individual canvases painted by Omaha students. Each piece speaks to the artists’ personal identities, dreams, and hopes, uniting into the powerful image of a peregrine falcon in flight. The mural is more than a tribute—it is a living expression of diversity, equity, and inclusion, making the lobby a compassionate canvas for community and belonging.

DESIGN THAT SOARS

Inspired by the grace of the peregrine, the lobby’s design incorporates gentle curves, feather-pattern motifs, and elegant metallic finishes. Soft lighting and layered textures bring warmth to communal seating areas. The setting encourages both leisurely gatherings and intimate moments, reflecting the dual legacy of the hotel: a storied past paired with forward-thinking hospitality.

A PLACE TO BELONG

The Peregrine’s lobby isn’t just where a visit begins—it’s where every guest finds a sense of place. The fusion of restored grandeur, contemporary art, and community partnership extends an open invitation: here, everyone is welcome, and every story matters.
