A SOARING TRIBUTE TO OMAHA’S WILDLIFE AND SPIRIT

Rising six stories above the hotel’s courtyard lightwell, this striking mural celebrates the peregrine falcon — the same iconic bird that inspired The Peregrine’s name and identity. Commissioned from Omaha artist Dave Koenig, the mural brings local creativity and bold scale to the heart of the building’s adaptive reuse.
Dave has been creating art locally and internationally since 2001, working across mediums from painting and tattoos to large-scale murals. His work is known for its expressive line work, thoughtful color, and a presence that invites both reflection and joy in viewers.

Bathed in natural light, the mural is visible from select guest rooms — offering an immersive, breathtaking view that connects guests to the creative energy of Omaha. Commissioned in partnership with Arbor Street Studios, it stands as a visual anchor of the hotel’s design, bridging historic architecture with contemporary artistic expression.

A symbol of agility, vision, and resilience — traits shared by both the peregrine falcon and this historic building — the mural speaks to transformation. Once a structure defined by commerce and industry, The Peregrine now invites guests to experience the city from within its art, architecture, and culture.
